POKOTABI / Wanone
個室居酒屋 和ノ音 秋葉原店
Perched on the fifth floor of a building near Akihabara Station, private-room izakaya Wanone serves dashi-rich motsunabe, jidori chicken mizutaki, skewered meats, and fresh sashimi platters.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Steaming hot pots are the natural focal point for groups sharing a table. Situated on the fifth floor of a building in Kanda-Sakumacho, Wanone puts hearty broths front and centre, serving savory motsunabe and chicken mizutaki enriched with the deep flavor of local jidori poultry. Diners can bolster each pot with extra servings of beef offal, chicken, or mixed vegetables, before finishing off the concentrated broth with ramen noodles or an egg-and-rice zosui porridge.
A wide range of smaller plates fills the table while the pots simmer. Skewered yakitori assortments grilled to a smoky finish and seasonal sashimi platters of three, five, or seven varieties are longstanding staples here. Warm, comfort-forward dishes—such as tender dashimaki tamago rolled omelettes, crisp agedashi tofu in dashi, and crunchy fried chicken karaage—keep the meal flowing smoothly.
Drinks cater to broad gatherings, spanning cold beers, highballs, and sours to shochu, sake, and fruit liqueurs, with various all-you-can-drink plans and set menus available. The dining space is built around private rooms, giving parties room to unwind and converse without distractions from neighbouring tables.
